CRETE. Phaistos. Circa 300-270 BC. AE (Bronze, 17 mm, 4.26 g, 7 h). Winged Talos advancing right, hurling stone in his right hand, holding another in his left. Rev. ΦΑΙC-ΤΙΩΝ Hound walking right, sniffing the ground. BMC 27-8. SNG Copenhagen 520. Svoronos 274. Rare. Brushed and struck from a worn obverse die, otherwise, about very fine.
